Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources (HR) Manager to oversee all aspects of HR management at Manarola Industries. The HR Manager will be responsible for implementing HR strategies that promote organizational effectiveness, employee well-being, and a positive company culture. The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple HR functions within the manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
  1. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  2. Collaborate with department heads to determine staffing needs and job specifications for various roles in the manufacturing and administrative teams.
  3. Implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract skilled and qualified candidates.
  • Employee Relations:
  1. Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related concerns, grievances, and disputes.
  2. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment by implementing employee engagement initiatives.
  3. Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and take proactive measures to address any concerns.
  • Training & Development:
  1. Identify training needs and organize relevant training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  2. Develop onboarding and continuous learning programs for new hires and existing employees.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in manufacturing training.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
  1. Oversee the company’s compensation structure, ensuring it is competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  2. Administer employee benefits programs and ensure that employees are aware of their entitlements.
  3. Work with the finance team to manage payroll and employee bonuses.
  • Performance Management:
  1. Develop and implement a performance management system to assess and enhance employee productivity.
  2. Provide coaching and support to managers in addressing performance issues.
  3. Conduct annual performance appraisals and facilitate feedback discussions between employees and managers.
  • Compliance & Policy Management:
  1.  Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  2. Update and enforce HR policies and procedures to maintain a fair, legal, and ethical work environment.
  3. Monitor and audit HR practices to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Health, Safety, and Well-being:
  1. Promote workplace safety by working closely with the safety team to ensure that health and safety standards are met on the manufacturing floor.
  2. Develop programs to support employee well-being and work-life balance.
  3. Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees, particularly in high-risk manufacturing environments.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics:
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR metrics, and reports.
  2. Analyze HR data and trends to recommend improvements in recruitment, retention, training, and employee satisfaction.
  3. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and a Master’s degree in HR or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

  2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  3. Proven experience in conflict resolution and handling sensitive employee relations issues.

Production/Factory Manager

Position Summary

The Factory/Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the biscuit production facility in Sonapur, Kamrup(M), Guwahati, Assam. This includes managing production schedules, ensuring product quality, leading a team of operators and staff, maintaining safety and compliance, and continuously improving the production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, particularly in the food industry, with expertise in managing large-scale production environments.


Key Responsibilities


· Production Management:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the biscuit production line, ensuring all production targets, timelines, and product quality standards are met.
  2.  Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  3. Ensure smooth coordination between the production and packaging teams to maintain workflow efficiency.


· Team Leadership:

  1. Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team, including operators, supervisors, and support staff.
  2. Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and accountability.
  3. Provide training, mentorship, and continuous performance feedback to staff.


· Quality Control & Assurance:

  1. Ensure all biscuits produced meet the company's stringent quality standards and customer specifications.

  3. Implement corrective actions in case of quality deviations or defects.


· Health, Safety & Compliance:

  3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national food safety regulations, including FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) guidelines.


· Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  1. Identify and implement improvements in production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  2. Apply Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to optimize workflow and reduce costs.
  3. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the facility remains competitive and innovative.


· Resource Management & Inventory Control:

  1. Manage the inventory of raw materials, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing wastage.
  2. Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials for uninterrupted production.
  3. Ensure efficient use of production resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials.


· Maintenance & Equipment Management:

  1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal functioning and minimizing downtime.
  2. Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule routine inspections and preventive maintenance.


· Reporting & Data Management:

  1. Maintain accurate production records and reports, including data on output, downtime, quality issues, and any other relevant metrics.
  2. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on production performance, resource utilization, and KPIs.


Requirements and Qualifications


· Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A Master’s degree in the related field would be an extra edge.
  3. Additional certifications in production management or food safety (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FSSAI) are a plus.


· Experience:

  1. Minimum 8 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the food or biscuit manufacturing industry.
  2. Strong experience in managing large-scale food production processes and leading diverse teams.
  3. Proven ability to optimize production workflows and implement process improvements.


· Skills:

  1. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  2. In-depth knowledge of food production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
